Principal's Message
A prayer for me
Dear God,
As winds continue to blow and I find myself in the pile,
Help me to remember that my sameness with others,
Is a strength when needed.
At the same time,
Let me realise that my uniqueness, and what makes me special,
Is most easily seen when I am seen by You and shared with others.
Help me to be a strong presence in the plie.
And a confident marvel when looked upon by others.
Amen
Dear parents and carers,
Over recent days, our school has been bathed in an array of colour and wonderful experiences. It has been our school at its best in many ways.

Thank you to all in our school community; parents, staff, students and friends, who came together last Sunday to host and support our Family Picnic Day and Colour Run. It was amazing to see it all underway and to experience the joy of the children and families as they navigated their way through the food stalls and fun activities.
While final amounts are still unknown, it is pleasing to be able to provide much needed support to Mary MacKillop House, in their important work assisting women and families in need.
Nachos Day
The final Nachos Day for 2024 is being held on Tuesday 19 November. Please remember to place your order early to ensure we are well prepared for the day. Orders can now be made on Qkr!
Foundation Orientation Day and Welcome Function
Today we welcomed 45 new Foundation students and their families to St Joseph’s, in preparation for 2025. It was a sea of excitement and nerves as the children spent time in the Foundation classrooms, getting ready for ‘big school’. This is always a wonderful insight into the strength of the school as we welcome new families and hear from them why they have chosen St Joseph’s.
As part of building connections with families new to the school, tonight we are hosting a Welcome Function for our incoming 2025 families, and any families who have joined the school during 2024. It promises to be a lovely night. Please feel free to come along from 6.00pm if you would like to build further community connections.
Year 5 Camp
Good luck to our Year 5 students and staff who tomorrow are heading to Greenhills at the Cotter, for the two-day leadership camp. This is always a great couple of days and gives the students an opportunity to look at their leadership for the coming year. As part of this, today the students also engaged in the CSYMI program, Journeying with Jesus. The students listened to members of the CE youth Ministry Team as they reflected on the role of leaders, and where they can draw strength from their faith.
Have a great end to the week.
Yours in Christ,
Cameron Tarrant
