Liturgical Year
As we journey through our liturgical seasons from Eastertide to Pentecost, this week we return to the liturgical season of Ordinary Time. The coming two Sundays are special days. On this coming Sunday we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. This feast invites us to consider what we believe about God, who has revealed himself to us in the Trinity—one God in three persons.
In the Gospel (John 16:12-15) Jesus assures the disciples that even though he must leave them, he will send the Holy Spirit to help them and that they will not have to face the future alone. This passage on Trinity Sunday reinforces our understanding of the unity shared by the members of the Trinity. Although the idea of one God in three persons remains a mystery, we have the assurance that, as Jesus and the Father share all, Jesus and the Spirit share all.
Student Prayer Focus
Our Student Prayer Focus over the coming month reconnects us with our focus scripture for 2019: Matthew 28:16-20. In our focus scripture, the disciples are commissioned and Jesus tells them that he is with them always.
Just as the disciples were commissioned, we too are invited to “go and make disciples of all nations” and in doing so are Glorifying Christ with our lives.
How will you Glorify Christ with your life this week?
In classrooms this week you will see that green leaves are once again being added to the trees in each class prayer space. The green leaf symbolises Ordinary Time. On each leaf of a word or phrase is written which symbolise how each class member will work to glorify Christ with their lives during the week.

Sacrament of First Holy Communion
It was wonderful to see many school and parish families come together last Saturday evening for the third preparation session for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. Please keep these children and their families in your prayers as they prepare for this important step in the faith journey.
