Welcome back to Term 2. I trust that you all had an opportunity to spend time as a family over the break. As I consider the term ahead, the Easter message of new life and renewal seem very appropriate at this time. The past two years have brought times of challenge, but also hopefully given us a sense of what is important and can be focused on as we move forward.
Walking through the school today, and chatting with the students, there is most definitely a great sense of energy and enthusiasm to be back. It was nice to welcome six new students, and their families to St Joseph’s this term. We are continuing to grow our enrolments due to the positive way that our community speaks about the great things happening at our school. The 2023 enrolment period officially begins next week, so please continue to share all that makes St Joseph’s a school of choice in North Canberra.
Following recent changes by ACT Health to the COVID-safe measures in place, later today I will communicate how these changes are being implemented by Catholic Education. Please ensure you are aware of these changes and contact the school if you have any questions. It is pleasing that we are continuing to move towards being able to have our community together more often and returning to school life pre-COVID.
Mother’s Day Breakfast
Next Friday we will host a community gathering to celebrate Mother’s Day. We are still finalising what this may look like in regards to COVID protocols, but please save the date –
Friday 6 May – from 8am
Mother’s Day Raffle
Once again the St Joseph’s ELC is running the Mother’s Day Raffle. Tickets are being sent home with the eldest child in each family tomorrow. Please ensure that you write your name and phone number on all tickets that are purchased.
